Sarah Ong

Managing Partner

Sarah Ong, the Managing Partner of Affinity Legal, licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. Sarah has focused on helping clients with Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Medicaid Strategies. She is dedicated to providing clear tailored guidance to individuals and families as they navigate important decisions regarding their futures and loved ones.

Sarah earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas School of Law and holds a Master’s in Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Bloch School of Business. Her combined legal and business education enables her to address the complex intersections of law and finance effectively.

Before pursuing her legal career, Sarah worked in Section 42 Low-Income Housing Compliance, where she gained valuable experience in regulatory frameworks and housing policies. During law school, she interned at the Heartland Center for Jobs and Freedom where she assisted tenants with eviction-related matters.

Sarah is a volunteer educator for the Foundation for Financial Education a 501©(3) non-profit organization. She is very passionate about education and giving back to her local communities, through the Foundation she donates her time speaking to individuals and groups on various legal and financial related topics. 

Outside of her legal practice, Sarah enjoys playing tennis and piano. She also has a passion for traveling and exploring new destinations and cultures.

Ingrid Chavez

Director of Operations

Ingrid Chavez is the Director of Operations, experienced in legal operations and business management, Ingrid plays a critical role in overseeing the firm’s daily functions, ensuring seamless coordination between attorneys and clients. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families every step of the way at Affinity Legal ensuring their legacy is secure and all wishes are met. 

Known for her strategic thinking and commitment to operational excellence, Ingrid has implemented streamlined systems that enhance efficiency, improve client service, and support the firm’s long-term growth. Prior to joining Affinity, she held leadership roles in both elder law and healthcare communities, where she developed a deep understanding of the importance of estate planning and future care needs.

Ingrid earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Human Resources from Colorado State University and continually stays current on best practices in business management, client relationships, and elder law.
